Preface
to Stent (First draft)
After a restless noisy night of patients
struggling for breath, coughing, snoring and nocturnal perambulations her
smiles and cheerful words early on the first morning were a better medicine
than many.
“Good morning how are you today?” The
ward sister, in old fashioned terminology, says to each patient.
“Lousy, a sleepless night as hospitals
do not change.” I respond. She laughs and says.
“By the time you leave here you will be
able to write a book!”
Little did sister know I am a writer ... or did she!
